We may not have Donnie Osmond or "Twilight" author Stephanie Meyer fighting for our rights, (she hasn't officially said anything negative so don't freak quite yet vampire lovers... but she is a VERY devout Mormon) but most of Hollywood ALWAYS defends our honor. For example:

I also LOVE how OTR friends Brunson, Tate, and Quintin are in this fantastic sketch. THE BEST part of this musical, however, is the non-star in the glasses BARRETT FOA (well that's a bit harsh I guess, since he DOES have several facebook fanpages and has been in several Broadway productions). Last week, Chris Arnold made out with Barrett at Popstarz! The next day Chris showed Pocket pictures of his midnight conquer to which Pocket showed Chris a message he coincidentally received on facebook that day from Barrett that read "We should date. Let me know when you're available." So direct! So creepy! I wonder what Barrett's reaction will be when he finds out Chris and Pocket are roommates. Oops! Gays are so incestuous.

I along with everyone at Focus Features is extremely proud to be associated with MILK and should you take the time to see the film I think you will understand why. Its a touching hopeful film that just might be the "Best Picture" of the year (fingers crossed). MILK is playing in New York and LA as well as other select cities across the country and will open this Friday, December 5th in Austin.

To See: Slumdog Millionaire

I see a lot of films and rarely recommend them, for example The Changeling (skip it, it was a Lifetime Movie without any substance abuse, dangerous sex or murderous cheerleaders, basically just melodramatic and long.) However, I saw Slumdog Millionaire in a sold out theater on a freezing Wednesday night in New York City and loved it. I highly recommend taking the time and money to see this film.

Former Austinite Josh Welch (who razzled and dazzled on Big Brother 9 this year) has quit his job at ultra chic Abercrombie & Fitch over his disagreement with their "hierarchy of hotness."

According to the Dallas Morning News:

Josh "quit his managerial training program at the North Park store after his bosses told him he would have to leave if he didn't get rid of his new blond highlights."

"I need a job where I am appreciated for the work I do, not because I fit into their mold," said Mr. Welch, who previously worked for Abercrombie in Austin. "I thought they had evolved, but they haven't," he said.

It's really not news that Abercrombie employs these shady practices. We all know they have been sued for it in the past. If you ask me, their hot employees are pretty much the only thing they have going for them. It's not like I go there to look at clothes (I'll spare you all my cargo shorts rant... this time). Josh also knows and LOVES it. He was dying for people to ogle him and his "hot ass," too!

The reality (pun intended) of this situation is that Josh is crushed they banned his hideous highlights. I'm shocked this could be news to him, though... even I've called him out! The attention whore is now using this "humiliation" to stretch his 15 minutes. I guess I have to give him props for that. Omarosa has somehow been making it work for years... and she's a gem.

Dear Senator McCain,

Did you seriously just choose Sarah Palin as your running mate? I am truly baffled by this blatant attempt to lure Hillary Clinton supporters who were mainly voting for her because she is a woman. (I love me some Hillary, but let's face it, she's barely a woman, anyway.)

Time and time again you have claimed that Barack Obama does not have the record to lead as President. While I disagree, it IS a strong argument I felt could potentially help you win as the common American is terrified of the unknown; HOWEVER, by selecting Ms. Palin, the lovely doll of a woman that she is, you have completely voided your argument. Ms. Palin is currently serving her FIRST term as Governor of Alaska. Prior to that, she was mayor of a small town. Don't like 12 people live in all of Alaska, anyway? Such experience! What Ms. Palin DOES have going for her is that she is a political outsider who has shaken up this system. Hmmm... sounds familiar. Also, noting that you are just about 100 years old, I think there is a real possibility that this Christian Conservative, anti-gay, anti-abortion VP nom may have to step in at some point... and that's just super. She's certainly no Hillary.

For those of you who are not aware, (though I imagine a lot of you Internet savvy homos are) every day at midnight CST woot.com posts one item for sale at a drastically reduced price (except for Tuesdays when they offer a "two-fer!"). The sale only lasts until they run out of the item for that day. Brand name LCD TVs, Dyson vacuums, etc. are quite common, but you never know what you are going to find. The two-fer special for today, Tuesday the 26th, is quite possibly my favorite item yet:

Nothing appeals to my absurd love of infomercials, my stereotypical Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and my not-so-secret desire to be an Escalade driving, tennis playing, adorable soccer mom quite like the "Go Duster." PLUS, I'd be happy to get ONE for half price, but woot is giving us two! Christmas definitely came early this year... so hurry on over before they run out.

(Though usually more miss than hit, I also enjoy woot's sister website shirt.woot... but please don't buy its merchandise. I don't want you to have to go home and change on a night you show up to a party wearing the same shirt I am... that would be so embarrassing for you.)

Lose-Lose Situation

Tack this on as yet another reason why I am headed straight for hell... but I LOVE reading news stories where gays get caught with their pants down (especially when they are hypocritical legislators.) On the one hand it's sad that they are closeted, bored, or sexually frustrated enough that they resort to scandalous public rendezvous in an effort to "find love" (like that euphemism?) On the other, it's just so great to hear their nonsensical reasons for why authorities erroneously interpreted the situation as them looking for a quickie. My personal favorite has always been Florida representative Bob Allen, who'd rather you think he's racist than a (God Forbid!) homosexual!

One of today's Houston Chronicle headlines takes the "I wasn't looking for sex" denial to a whole new level. A Houston doctor was caught in typical fashion at Memorial Park. The defense given at trial was the accused doctor just wanted to talk when the undercover officer suggested they "compare stomachs." The doctor was apparently uncomfortable with this, but still agreed to do so behind the public restroom. He was then arrested and later convicted for "indecent exposure." His sentence was reduced to a simple "two years of community supervision."

It's here that I think to myself - dude, you got off with a simple slap on the wrist - it's time to move on, come out, and live gay and free. Instead, the doctor decided to appeal with new evidence: his freakishly small penis!! You see, he apparently has a 2.8 incher he is so ashamed of that he would never dare show it to anyone other than his loving wife. Plus, even if he had flashed his crotch, his penis is so small that his palm would have fully concealed it, which, in effect would mean he never technically exposed himself. The judging panel dismissed the doctor's appeal ruling that this new evidence was insignificant to the original verdict. (I'm pretty sure his loving wife would agree to its insignificance as well!)

So are you ready to throw in the towel yet, doc? Embrace your homosexuality and there just may be a light at the end of your tunnel. Sure you'll lose the sex with your loving wife... but now you can be the power bottom you were obviously born to be.

I'm having a love affair with the New Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos. I have become so enamored with this fine flavored tortilla chip that I find myself buying multiple bags at a time from the vending machine.

"I know what this looks like, the first one got stuck so I HAD to buy another one to get the first bag to fall." LIE.

Shame on you whose love runs deep for Cool Ranch and Nacho Cheese and yet refuse to embrace Salsa Verde and her new baby brother Spicy Sweet Chili. You are like the fools that resisted the internet and chose to place your alliance with the USPS. Anyone who has visited one of those lately knows that was a huge mistake, and ignoring Spicy Sweet Chili will be an equal nightmare.

I never thought I would be that guy who places the bag to his mouth and tilts backward so as to swallow every small crumb left at the bottom of the bag. Some call this motion the: "Get it girl!" But I have perfected the "Get it girl" thanks to Spicy Sweet Chili.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a bag.

While perusing the link on Amazon for Balla Powder I found the following User Comments helpful.

One fella claimed, "And to think, all these years I've been crafting my own scented scrotum powder in my basement -- finally, I can buy it off the rack." I know what you're thinking he must be kidding about that basement thing . . . but then I looked at what else he reviewed, a book Magic for Beginners. Clearly, potions are a specialty of his.

Another sack wrangler yammered, "After only two days of "over use", my scrotum started to itch because my skin was too dried out so I stopped using the powder. The itch lasted almost a week and what used to feel good didn't feel as good anymore(you know what I mean)[I haven't the slightest clue] and that alone is reason enough not to use this stuff." Everything in moderation, we get it.

Finally, a bit of a poet mused, "Sure, it's great for keeping your nut-satchel smelling sweeter than a tour of a butterscotch factory. But it also makes a great popcorn seasoning! Mmmmm... scented scrotum talc-seasoned popcorn. Sweet enough to please, and just salty enough to tease!" He talks about food and he rhymes, I find this review helpful and I can relate.

In conclusion, I think what they're all trying to say is magic dry itch balls of butterscotch.

As individual and unique as I like to think I am, I can't deny that I am that quintessential homo who love Kathy Griffin, female-driven power ballads, and all things Apple. My gayness also leads to my obsessive compulsive behavior (or visa versa?), which is why a trip to the Container Store is soothing yet dangerous; stay there too long and it's once again off to Promises Rehab (that's for you Bryan Kehn).

So it should come as no surprise that I am the proud owner of a new iPhone 3G. As I sit here and obsessively configure it to my silly standards, I am sort of panicking about whether or not I should also purchase "mobileme." Basically, with this $99/year program, if you update your contacts, calendar, photo gallery, etc. on any of your devices, it is automatically updated everywhere else - no docking or syncing required. Part of me is wondering how I've ever lived without it... but do I REALLY need it?

Old Coot Caught

WAUKESHA, Wisconsin (AP) -- A 52-year-old Milwaukee-area man has been accused of faking heart attacks to avoid paying restaurant bills and cab fares.

Police say the Waukesha man took a cab to a mall Monday and pretended to have a heart attack. The cabdriver left unpaid.

Authorities say the man then ran up a $23 bill when he had a steak dinner at Applebee's. He again pretended to have a heart attack.

This time the fire department took him to a hospital. A doctor there recognized the man as having pulled the same stunt in the past few weeks.

He was charged Thursday with defrauding a restaurant as a habitual criminal. He could get up to nine months in prison and a $10,000 fine.

The waiter became suspicious when the man decided to go ahead and take a look at the dessert menu despite his 'horrible chest pain'.

This is sort of like when you lie and say its someones birthday at the table for free dessert.

OTR Abroad: Amsterdam

Hoy! Not sure where to start, but here goes:
Amsterdam, the capital and largest city in Holland. Dirty,busy,crazy, and fun, its such a strange place. First off, ditch your car and get a bike, everyone here uses a bike and some even have multiple bikes parked all over the city for convenience.

Day 1: My first night here, I was very jet lagged but still found enough energy to go out. I wander down one of the millions of alleys until I found the club Cockring. I walk in and of course it's pitch dark and techno music is blasting, I loved it! I walk down a dark and narrow staircase and stumble into a basement dancefloor, and the first person i see is none other than Neil Patrick Harris sitting across the bar. About an hour later, 3 guys walk into the room, get on a table and precede to have a 3 some right there in the middle of the bar.
15 minutes later, they are "shooting their loads" onto the dancefloor and just walk out, only to return with a plate full of popsicles. I dance the night away with a new friend Denny, and next thing i know its 6am and it's time to go home.

Day 2: The second day of course I slept in, but eventually got up to walk around the city and see some museums. Also a first for that day was to stop by a local coffeeshop to "smoke" and it was the best ever. Spend the whole day running around and seeing the sites, Van Gogh Museum, Reijksmusuem, and so on and so on. It's now night again, and I'm back out on the town this time to Bar Exit. Massive 5 story bar in the heart of the city. Hot and smokey I danced the night away again till 7 am, but met some really fun people.
There was Nora the drag queen, and Remy and his mother Paulina! The next 2 days are similiar to the 2nd day, walking around, riding bikes, seeing the sites, by now its Sunday and Monday, and the bars were boring and empty so I stay in to smoke and catch up on my sleep. Overall Amsterdam was alot of fun and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Congratulations to the Shady Ladies for coming in 2nd in their division with only a couple months of experience under their softball belts.

After a roller coaster of a season, the Shady Ladies made it to the final game of the Softball Austin Spring Tournament. Unfortunately, they were shut out by The Force but that didn't stop them from celebrating their victories at OCH until the Desperate Housewives Season Finale later that night.

ATHENS, Greece (AP) -- A nine-year-old girl who went to hospital suffering from stomach pains was found to be carrying her embryonic twin, doctors in central Greece said Thursday.

Doctors at Larissa General Hospital examined the girl and surgically removed a growth they later discovered was an embryo about six centimeters (more than two inches) long.

"They could see on the right side that her belly was swollen, but they couldn't suspect that this tumor would hide an embryo," hospital director Iakovos Brouskelis said.

The girl has made a full recovery, he said.

Andreas Markou, head of the hospital's pediatric department, said the embryo was a formed fetus with a head, hair and eyes, but no brain or umbilical cord.

Markou said cases where one of a set of twins absorbs the other in the womb occur in one of 500,000 live births.

The girl's family did not want to be identified, hospital officials said.

I'm sure the girl at school with an embryo around her neck is not a dead give away. Show off.
